Mobile retail

Looking at this mobile retail, I am looking into the disappearance of shopping complex and mall, despite the government's effort to revitalise Orchard Road. Building gigantic malls bearing iconic significance is currently a trend. ION Orchard has dominated the shopping district and soon shaping up the city skyline. ORCHARD CENTRAL is massive. Mass are emphasised in these two design scheme.

Having said that, i personally feel that this kind of image will soon be replaced by the notion of convenience. Mobile retail like the one above is not a new trend after all. We already have mobile library back in the 1960s, travelling around the island to provide knowledge for the young generations. With the rising rental prices and also the struggle for space. Retail therapy could only be at your doorstep anytime u want.

Moreover, online shopping is now part of the younger generation's lifestyle too. What beats the comfort of your home, choosing what you want to purchase and the items will be delivered in the matter of days. Yes, you might argue that the experience of shopping in malls is more realistic, cause you get to try out clothes and risk internet scam and deception. Online shopping could be a possible X factor in the future.

With all these, who needs shopping centre in the future? They will be just a hub for tourists to keep our shopping city alive.

Dear dear made IKEA swiss meatballs and although it does not look impressive, the taste is the same.

The folks from prague set up a mini showcase of what they have done over there. Pretty cool

Then in the beginning of the sememster, we have this Italian couples conducting the urban design workshop. Nonetheless, we "smoke" through the 3 weeks course and confident enough to say that 10 percent or lesser students thinks this course is useful.

Some exhibition booth set up in Plaza Singapura and took some shots down for further inspirations. Sometimes, we can design a lot with low costs, like these.

Then something strange happened.

The fun part is when we tried to create privacy using some panels that the previous year 4 left over and create a screen to shield off the eyes of the year 1. There we have soon yuan, yuting and jian guo working on to create a screen.

When it was totally unsuccessful cause we can still see yuting's head from afar! haha..

If you can't handle hangover, don't even bother thinking of doing it.
The show is full of laughter and of course, why that china chow guy ended up naked in the car boot?
The Hangover is somehow random and its entirely up to the viewers to decide the details. After all, Its common not to remember anything after a night out crazy with naked chicks, a tiger, and a china guy.

Its not actually funny but somehow it touches your heart. A old guy trying to fulfil his late wife's wish by flying his house all the way to South America. ( The place is like America, just that it's on south )
Packed adventure with a wilderness explorer named Russell, a talking dog and a colourful ostrich-like bird.
You won't find this show funny anymore because we have watched the trailer. Damn it!

I am working 24 hours a day. Literally.

Its true

But i have much more exciting projects on hand, so much fun compared to the ones i dealing at DBTA. Upcoming freelance projects are really something that i wanna cut out to "brand" myself. I always listen to advices like, " HAVE FUN IN DESIGN..." ... " Play around.."

No harm telling. I have 4 projects on hand.

- 1 smallest scale.
- another one is rarely small but still working things out.
- Upcoming salad bar near town area, and i hope to pitch this one.
- Lastly, something i looking forward, a cafe project, serving something out of convention

I got so many inspirations in many people like FARMWORKS. I truly admired their design and they are not easy dealing with people, pratical ones to be exact, and yet they still having so much joy in making it possible. I can vouch for it. It is really not easy dealing with your client, unless he is really rich.

I watched Harry Potter today. The irony is that i did not watch the past Harry Potter movies. I ended up clearing my doubts like, " who the hell is snap??"... how come this... how come that?

I got a new phone!... Thanks dear dear for the unexpected moments we had. I would not get the phone without you wanting to go city link today. Although you did not end up looking at shoes, and i feel bad about it.

Today, i bumped into my former sergeant from my army unit. And he say i look like Alfred Liao!!! WTF!!

For a moment, i was really offended but somehow he is right. I need to do something about it!...

Am really busy with work and so screwed up with people who can't manage well in their projects! Argh!

Nevertheless, one interesting thing i noticed is that i have celebrated 3 birthdays in office at one go!... all differed in weeks. This is the third birthday i had in DBTA.

OMG!

Things are getting hectic in office recently. I do remember i signed up for a job position as an designer assistant during may. And now, i would say our office is facing a crisis.

ALL my senior designers are leaving soon, due to personal reasons. I am currently taking over their works soon my table will be piled up with tonnes of drawings, material boards and still, tonnes of drawings.

Feeling rather sad. By far, these few guys i worked with, are one of the best designers i worked with.

I began to wonder whether will i go back to work again during my next long holidays. I felt that i enjoyed doing interior design related works.

Guys out there must be thinking that interior design is decoration. I enjoyed interior design as in detailing,and material selections. ... blah blah blah...
I am getting more tired each day. When my colleagues asked about any weekend programmes, i would say self-hiberation is always the best option.

Oh ya, i just realised something. I have celebrated 3 birthdays in office! Hows that?

I remember enjoying watching his music video when i was young but did not imitate his dance moves. I used to ask my parents about his skin tone and at one point, i was confused by his sudden physical changes and often doubted whether is he black or white. But Michael Jackson sing back, "...

I vividly remember how my uncle used to relate MJ's music as "trash" music and purely "satanic" to him. Matthew, my cousin, came, and still comes, from a family who strongly believe in the stronghold of God and HIS Providence to the people who believe in HIM. ( Notice the big cap HIM ... ?) Matt's only secular mode of communication is the DANGEROUS album by MJ and its displayed among piles of christian music CDs. My uncle forbid MJ's music in his house and even threatened to dispose it.

Why is it has to be MJ? Uncle does not appreciate it at that time.

During my BMT, i was in the marching drill squad, ready for the inter-drill competition. And i remembered how my sergeant taught us moonwalk, marching version. I thought it was so cool to master the moves during drill display. Hahaha.... but we abandoned it in the end, citing it too naive.

MJ's death at 50. i was yearning to see him aged. I want to see what happen when he gets 70, 80, 90.... he could just moonwalk with his walking stick on his hands, maybe.

He's out of our lives.

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" made over $200 million last week. What it didn't make, however, was one lick of sense.

Now, suspension of disbelief is usually not a problem for me. Tell me that a billionaire could put on a bat suit and swoop around fighting crime and I'll buy it. Or that a different billionaire could build flying armor in his basement. Or that in the future people will beam onto spaceships with their pointy-eared best friend. I'll accept all of it. I'll even take your word for it that a mechanized alien race can come to our planet, scan some cars, and turn themselves into vehicles.

That being said, there were moments in this new "Transformers" movie that were so confusing, so contradictory, or so corny that they completely took me out of the movie. Even days after watching it, some new inconsistency or plot hole would pop into my mind.

I can hear it already: "It's a popcorn movie. It's based on a bunch of toys. It's just supposed to be fun." And yes, all of those things are true. But that doesn't mean I can't ask questions about what in the world was going on. Here are the ten that I most want answered. (WARNING: contains spoilers).

1. In "Transformers," there was this giant battle in the middle of downtown Los Angeles -- excuse me, Mission City -- that was witnessed by thousands of people at the very least. But somehow the government was able to cover up the whole thing, and now the existence of alien robots is just an internet rumor? How did they do it? Pay off everyone who was there and quickly fix millions of dollars in damage? Also, didn't Keller (Jon Voight) go on TV and tell everyone we were being attacked by "a technological civilization far superior to our own"? How did they spin that?

2. There are two pieces of the Allspark cube left: the military has one under lock and key, and Sam discovers another. The Decepticons steal one and bring Megatron back to life. But when Sam (Shia LaBeouf) wants to bring back Optimus, he has to find the Matrix of Leadership on the other side of the globe. Why not use the other piece? Mikaela (Megan Fox) has it in her backpack the whole time. It brought his kitchen appliances to life, why can't it do the same for Optimus?

3. Speaking of Megatron's rebirth, when the Decepticons venture deep into the ocean to revive him, the Navy crew tracking them reads five contacts. When they get down there, they tear apart one of the robots for parts to rebuild Megatron. Then as they rise to the surface, the same Navy guys say they spot six contacts. The little "Doctor" robot popped out down there, but he's about a third of the size of a person. Would he have shown up on sonar?

4. That reminds me: even if I were to forgive the Doctor's German accent -- and director Michael Bay is asking me to forgive a lot of ridiculous accents -- why would a robot need glasses? He has little lenses that flip in front of his mechanical eyes. Couldn't he just get his eyes adjusted? You'd think with all the laser guns, someone could perform a Lasik procedure.

5. Apparently, Transformers can look like people now. How? And how is it that even though the robo-girl (Isabel Lucas) is made of metal, she can still straddle Sam without crushing him. And if Bumblebee knows something's wrong with her, why does he spit antifreeze at her instead of telling Sam? Yes, his voicebox is broken, but wasn't it fixed at the end of the last movie?

6. The Fallen is the last of the Primes, since they all sacrificed themselves to stop him from destroying the sun. But then he says that Optimus is a descendant of the Primes. First, Transformers have kids? And second, how could he descend from them if they were all dead? And if the Fallen could only be destroyed by a Prime, why didn't the originals just gang up on him back in the day? And what makes Optimus so special, anyway? Megatron beat him earlier, but all it takes is a few spare parts from creaky old Jetfire for him to take out the Fallen?

7. Sam, Mikaela, and Simmons (John Turturro) go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. to find Jetfire. Then they walk out the back onto a wide open field with old planes and mountains in the distance. When did the National Mall start to look so much like to Tucson, AZ (where they really filmed that scene)?

8. The geography is just as bad when they go to Egypt. The stone city of Petra in Jordan is over 250 miles away, over mountainous terrain, with few paved roads and the Israeli border between them, so how can they drive from one to the other in a couple of hours. And the Pyramids are said to be shooting distance from the Mediterranean, but they are actually well over 80 miles inland. Even if the Navy ship had a secret rail gun, and even if the captain would take an order to fire from a former agent of a government branch that no longer exists (over a walkie-talkie that inexplicably starts working again), how could it hit a moving target from that distance?

9. Sam briefly dies and goes to Robot Heaven. Robot Heaven?!?!

10. Where does Sam's bandage come from? What about his extra sock? Why does Sam's roommate not contribute anything at all? What was the Fallen doing for those thousands of years Megatron was frozen in ice? How does one satellite receive transmissions from everywhere on the planet? Why does Wheelie hump Mikaela's leg? Why do we have to see John Turturro's thong? Why are robots who join together to become Devastator also seen fighting the Army at the same time? Why does the government want only our military fighting Decepticons when our weapons seem unable to make so much as a dent on any of them? Why did the ancient Egyptians build a pyramid around the sun-destroying machines instead of just breaking it? Why is the Matrix of Leadership bigger in the Fallen's hand than in Sam's? And how do Mikaela's pants stay so clean?

OK, so I went overboard at the end, but the questions remain. And I'm sure more will pop up next time I think about the movie. But the movie did make a ton of money, and it's earned a solid B+ rating from our users. Maybe I should go see it again. My questions probably won't get answered in a second viewing, but if I can just clear them from my mind I can be in Robot Heaven, too

But the record number of foreign residents in the country has helped grow the total population to 4.84 million in 2008 — an increase of 5.5 per cent over the previous year.

I realised the high frequencies of courtesy among the people here. Even foreigners are aware of it. I take the train to work every day and when i see someone leaving from the RESERVED SEAT area, no one will dare to take that seat for a long time. I mean, a really long time....

If you really take the seat, someone might just whip out their camera phone. And the next thing you know, you are infamous.

My office, like some others, have radio constantly keeping us awake ( But i still doze off ) during our work time. Class 95FM is still DBTA's favourite station.

Its funny how DJs trying to keep us aroused with trivia from other countries. And yesterday, i listen to this.

Jean Danker was reporting about the ranking of the world's safest cities and i was really not paying attention to that.
She mentioned that VANCOUVER IS THE WORLD'S SAFEST CITY. Ranked number 1.

And my canadian intern sitting in front of me starts to be skeptical about the new found theory. He's not a big fan of Singapore radio and still thinks Singapore radio is trying too hard to entertain people!

He commented, " No! " with a strong canadian accents.

" Vancouver actually has one of the most notorious gang in the world."

" Really?.." i think to myself. Now i know why it means LOW CRIME DOES NOT MEAN NO CRIME.

My results are out last friday. First grade that i looked out for is my Design module. And i am utterly disappointed by the grade i got. Is that all?

After i chiong design for the whole sememster? Then i look at others and realise that although its somehow the same, but then i still feel that i could have do better. Could it be my stubborn nature?
Then i look at others' grade again.
And they don't deserve what they get.

Am i prejudiced or what? Jealous? I AM NOT.
I am just feeling that its so unfair.

Why did all the good fathers die and leave us so fast??!! I am missing my daddy so much that sometimes i wish he could be right in front of me. I recalled the time that i neglected my dad shortly before he leave this world. I was remorseful... I am still upset.

One week just fly past and i feel a lot fortunate working in DBTA. But, also weird feeling about working there.

Firstly,

You will find yourself foreign in local. I am the only singaporean there. As in pure bred in Singapore.
I have colleagues coming from all around the world, literally. From the United States, Canada, down under australia, to the nearby ASEAN countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the popular Phillipines, where all fast drafting talents come from. My boss himself is a Japanese, growing up in Canada.

This is an Interior Design firm i am working in. But it feels like UNITED NATIONS CONGRESS OFFICE.

Secondly,

They will find you werid when you start staying OT. YES! they will look at you and ask you why you not going home after 7pm. When i said i want to finish my stuff, they will like, " errrr ok??..."

Thirdly,

My office has a story behind. IT IS BELIEVED TO BE HAUNTED.
YES....

Which i finally understand why my boss want us to go back at latest 8pm.

Went to THE KANGXI EMPEROR exhibits at the Asian Civilisation Museum. I must say to kill time and making it educational, why not?

And NUS students have free entries to all museums in town!

The exhibits are really good and what fascinates me is those imperial painting, like the one you see above. Depicting himself 57 years old. This painting is actually about 4 metres high! Because the fact that Kangxi's imperial painter is actually a foreigner, the use of perspective drawings and shadows are clearly shown on the painting.

And the next thing is the imperial edict, that we normally tend to see them on movies. The imperial guards tolding a scroll, with the receiver kneeling down in reverence, listening to the emperor's order. But do you know the actual size is about A2 size in width but longer, about 2.5 metres???

I concluded that those scrolls shown in movies are bluff!

Today's outcome has finally put a stop to the 2 months of agony and frustration on the job hunting spree.

I finally secured a place at David B. Tokiwa Associate. Not some fancy office though, but enough for me to continue my design line.

Hope to learn new things this time around. I am super amateur and rusty when it comes to beds, curtain, coffee tables... All this while, i deal with display shelves, workstations, counter-tops. Not a big change from corporate to the kind of hospitality stuff but still, i don't mind learning new things again. More of a refresher course.

Dear, i am so sorry that i vent my frustration on you these few weeks. Thanks for being so patient with me.

Two long months??... who would spend two long months staring at the laptop, hoping a new email coming in?

Is it the economy or is it my portfolio?

I did not expected that job hunting this time is so much difficult. Went for 2 interviews already and they are so messed up.

The first interview is at IKEA, for a freelance basis application. I know these guys does residential desgin ( Hello, IKEA LEH! ) The interview is kinda weird as i was presenting my portfolio, ALL commercial and retails interior design, a handful of school works which i felt its a waste of space putting them. The boss replied and emphasised that they do a lot of residential design and planning and FEW office interiors.

" The application is open for a week and we will let you know then "

I walked off, knowing the low chances of it.

Then the next interview was really a good experience, i guess, even though they are not accepting me.

SCDA ARCHITECTS... !

I did not expect them to call me. Then i realised that i am not alone. Wendy and QingLing were selected for the interview. I don't see that as competition or something. At that point of time, i hoping all three of us will get in.

SCDA has nice office, but i have seen nicer!

Anyway, i was in meeting room and this senior associates attended me and look through my portfolio. He was really a nice person and bothers to listen to you. Seldom see people so attentive to your explanation.

THEN CHAN SOO KIAN CAME IN! SCDA BIG BIG BIG BOSS....

He self intro to me and shook hands with him. Haha...
And he went through my portfolio.
I would call that a privillege...

Then he realised that we are not year-out people and Chan was so surprised! His eyes really wide open...
I know chances are low again when he hinted wendy about their intention of hiring year out people instead.

In the first place, who would wanna have year out? Firstly, year out people was paid intern pay!... maybe lower. Finish the damn architecture course and earn more after you graduate! haha

Watched two ridiculous reality shows on TV, without thinking about my design and stuffs. One is the PARIS HILTON'S MY NEW BFF. That was totally plastic!
Paris hilton is looking for a new best friend. And a few girls and some guys joined in to show their "sincerity" to Paris.
( Alamak! you mean she has no friends in her circle??!! )

Kinda like wayang to your sergeant major, kinda stuff. And this few "contestants" battle it out to impress Paris as much as they could to become a ultimate "friend" of Paris's

3 WORDS....WHAT THE FUCK??!!

Another show is the Channel 5's S FACTOR. watched it on sunday, despite the numerous criticisms on it. I had seen blogs that describe the bimbo and the ridiculous competition on the show. In fact, i totally agreed with the comments.

This episode is about TALENTS showcase. I don't know that doind anything can be considered a talent. Dancing blankly in the air, belly-bloating, tie cherry sticks with your mouth and making cocktails. I don't even enjoy watching it.

Next is getting two guys blindfolded and chatting with the girls. To prove the fact that guys don't only judge them by their looks. And there is this girl who said she is 9.5 out of 10 in her looks, just to give the poor blindfolded guy an illusion that she is that pretty!

Finally exam is over and year 3 is going to end, provided the fact that i won't get external crit next week. I am satisfied with the 2 papers i sat in and it does not matter anymore. I am going to have fun!

Job hunting is still on for me and this time, i think i just sit back and wait. Freelance works for me this holiday is so so unpredictable. My Youth olympic project is pushed back to August.

Thinking back of the year 3, i experienced my highest and lowest point in school. Perhaps the lowest point is how i dread going to ruzica's studio with numerous models and knowing that all your works are voided after few minutes of consultation. Unlike in Prof tse's studio, i have great tutor like "MR WOHA JUNIOR" ( You know who i am referring ). He has been a great help to me in my design and he pushes me to get better design.

Still stick to my motto, YOU DON'T NEED ANY FANCIFUL DESIGN TO WOW PEOPLE.
IT IS ALWAYS THE SIMPLE THINGS THAT ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL.

Can't help not to fall in love with this JAPANESE SHELL HOUSE project. The project has no wow factor and it just made up of very simple curves and its not even like the guggenheim shit at Bilbao. ( did i say shit?? )
I like how it terminates and dimishing into the ground, blending into the greenary. You know, blending into the landscape does not mean creating camouflage or something. This is the second house i like after Frank Lloyd Wright's fallingwater. OMG! fallingwater is so classic but nice.

Job Hunting ( i hate that ! )

Loving the brief break i had in the weekends and soon i find myself preparing for crit. So nervous about crit cause you never expect what's in store for you. Attending crit is like a BOX OF CHOCOLATE cause you never know what flavour you going to get. Is it something you like or you don't like?

TAKE IT AND GO ... its always the outcome.

Felt so much during this sememster. I began to realise that Year 3 isn't as fun as year 2 works. Perhaps its the requirements and the stubborn tutors that persisted on toliets and entrances! I mean, i don't mind functional aspects of design. After all, its what happpen in the industry where design is so so secondary. Remembering the time i used to work in Jasper's office that we design through space planning first, then adding "fins" and "tiles" into the facade. Thus called DESIGN.

I might be facing harsh comments tomorrow. The crit panel tomorrow is mixed with different characters who thinks super different. Gotta prepare a solid speech tomorrow...

Had small coffee talks with my school mates and we thought that there are many who are good at talking, but not letting their work do the talking instead. What kind of deal is that? I am being someone who is extremely bad at expressing myself.

Its rather unfair. What will happen to some who worked so hard and score average only? However, some are those who do little work and still score good grades.

I perceived the future industry to have many local "talk-cock-er" and many foreign workers, known as the CAD MONKEYS. We should be the monkey trainers then.

The first 15 minutes of the show was really not the kind of things guys like. You will find it lame and silly. However, watching it further, its the main character, the centre of the plot, that is funny, portraying someone thats larger than life.

Rebecca is poetic. Translating a piece of business and finance article into something fashionable is a big deal. Its like how you relates architecture to someone who love fashion.

Simply by telling them Le Corbusier is like Coco Chanel, who is revolutionary and a trend setter.

Rebecca is like someone who has no money but still goes crazy when it comes to spending money.
Shopping is like drugs! Shopping is like doin design non stop and when you get rid of it, you feel relaxed.

Went to the gym this morning, finally after weeks. Not to my surprise, my stamina is getting lower and very soon after stepping on the treadmill, i am panting for breath. But overall, was a good workout.

I am struggling to refine my design and somehow making my scheme a interesting one. Was remembering how i used to come out with funny experience design back in my poly days. Me, yaoming, junlong, chee hwee, daniel .... haiz.... those were the fun days where we sit down and talk about design and experiential stuffs.

Where is the skills i used to apply ?... how come i can't think of anything thats experiential ??!!

Somehow, i feel i am alone now. Difficult to focus on my design and other modules. Submission are clashing and the next interim crit is on thursday.

Not a good student at rationalise stuffs. Concept is something you deals with at the first day and put it aside till the final days before the submission. I hate to think of it again. Super busy and hectic weeks passed and yet to achieve what i want.
Design studios are always the same, never having any breakthroughs.
I am waiting for miracles to occur.
Its like something big will happen and like a stroke of genius. Hard to have this feeling though. Or just simply daydreaming.

Sometimes, i was wondering why am i studying my ass off for the past 2 years after army. I had seen friends getting married and engaged. Most of them, at this stage, discussing about engagament, joint accounts... etc. I think the idea of joint account is a bit kiddy, at this time.

Friends will ask me and jener, " hey, when you guys getting married??" or " why you two no joint account ah??"
These two annoying questions are now in my top irritating questions list. I always replied these in a more classical answer,

" No money... how to?..." ... Beside, marriage is not a child's play.

Its not the tutors that shapes the studio. Sometimes you will hear things like, " Wow, victor lee!... you sure going to do well... "... blah blah...

The last movie that i watched in 2008 was really one of the best fight movie i came across. I give it 4 out of 5 stars for that.

I am sure many will envy the steadfast fighting moves after watching it. Donnie Yen made Wing Chun looks so cool.

The thing i like about this movie is the consistent fight sequences and the least draggy storyline.

It is always the usual idea that normally the novel version is so much better and entertaining that the big screen version.

Well, no surprise to TWILIGHT

Edward is this SNAG. Sensitive New Age Vampire, to be precise. Keeps muttering. Like Jay Chou with pale skinned complexion.

And Bella is like the Girl next door kinda thing. A lady with few words and when she starts speaking, she sound like plain goth.

I would say its not a good movie, with its long, still shots and the old-fashion way of shooting method. I was sitting on my seats and keep wondering when its going to end.

No big actions sequence. The fight between vampires? Its like just pushing around and biting each other. ( Think Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield fighting, without the boxing gloves on. )

Girls will kinda like this movie. But as a grown-ass man, we might be walking out of the cinema, puzzled by the lack of actions and the worthiness of your movie tickets.

I am not sure why i am so hooked onto the LITTLE NYONYA show on channel 8. Thought Jeannette Aw is still not a good actress, the other casts are really very very good. Lin Meijiao's role as the fiery grandma of the Huang's household is someone who you love to hate. Her presense helps to spice up the show.

Xiang Yun is always pathetic. You will just sit back ans imagine what if you were her at that era.

Am also impressed by Pierre Png's almost fluent chinese. Salutation for that!

I was so taken aback by what i saw here. It was on the papers few days back and somehow i felt it is time to bring back the courtesy mascot. Was it that Singa the Lion mascot thing?....Thats in the 80s...

Should school re-educate and strengthen our moral values? Sould do it in a macro scale.

For myself, i was more irritated by how the peak hour crowds in the CBD area being rude.
Despite the nicely dress code and all those beautiful faces, whats the point of having a superficial image where your internal character stinks??!! People pushing each other to get into the train. Worse, you don't even wanna move to the centre of the carriage.

How gracious that is!!

The couple has announced for their wedding to be held in the coming year. For David who sees Fann as his own baby, how could he not be in the planning committee? What's more, David is actually the chief wedding planner to make sure the couple gets the most memorable one.
The wedding is set to be held in Singapore with an estimate of 1,000 guests attending. David has yet to come up with Fann's image for her big day but he is sure it will be fit his envisaged grand appearance of the couple. Fann's wedding gown, however, is said to have brought in three internationally renowned wedding gown designers to work on it.

The best concept is NO CONCEPT.

Is it true?

My style of working almost causes me a huge worries. I just realised recently that i am the kind of person who do without much thinking in my work. Problem-solving, i always leave that later after finishing design. By the time i finish, there's no time for serious thoughts.

And then, my mind will go blank.

I think the best concept is just no conceptual thoughts. Otherwise, it will become too abstract and superficial.

What do i want from the experience?

I don't know what is wrong with me today. I err a lot today, which i shouldn't be. I am just so zonked out that i can't focus.

After interim, got western essay to complete. Then have to prepare for S.E.A History modules next week. Turns out that next week is my presentation.

Had a very hectic week before the submission and after all the squabbles and the overnight stays, i can finally call it over!

I could breathe again freely. No more stale air from the studio. The smell of Uhu Glues, and my laptop shows nothing but autoCAD , 3d and photoshop....

Try to plan for my one week break. Hope to unwind as much as possible.
