Its not easy to say that you can survive without internet for days. If someone tells you that i can live without the internet, BULLSHIT!

Haha... thats just a side note.

Back to the topic. My dear finally got a laptop and most impotantly, an internet connection. As predicted, her first website she visited is her cheap online shopping forums and her eyes fixed on bags and clothes.

In response to my blog, my dear was petrified by the 'no comment' entry.

I LOVE YOU BABY.... ( wu nia ! not bo nia... )

Singapore continues to face the long—term challenge of low fertility and an ageing population, according to its latest population report.

But the record number of foreign residents in the country has helped grow the total population to 4.84 million in 2008 — an increase of 5.5 per cent over the previous year.

Foreigners now make up about 25 per cent of the total population.

And out of the 25 percent of foreigners, 10 percent of them works in architect's firms and interior design firms. Approx another 5 percent were all found scattered around shopping centres, cafes, kopitiam. Another 8 percent helps to improve the construction industry in Singapore.

Sometimes, just google something on the web and you will find something interesting.
For example, my chinese name.

I can't get the SHENG word but manage to get my surname and the last word.

Yang is the transcription of the Chinese family name 楊 / 杨. It is the sixth most common surname in Mainland China

"... The YANG character is a derivative from the word for "Sunlight." However, a search in any dictionary reveals it to be a type of tree such as a poplar or a willow tree. The character is composed of two parts, the left part means wood referring to a type of tree in ancient myth used to measure the height of the sun thereby establishing the calendar. The second part on the right hand side of the character is a graphic description of "the sun rising over Tanggu" (the place in ancient myth where the sun rose). In Tanggu there was a type of large lizard in the water, now known as a dragon, also called a thunder-beast. That is why Tanggu was represented by the character yi [second character in the ‘large lizard’ cited above], pronounced yang, and its master was Fu Xi (the founding ancestor of mankind in ancient myth, aka Xi He), and its heavenly almanac was called the Book of Changes (Yijing) (the yi character is the same as the right-hand component of the lizard character and the Yang family character)

Yang can also be the phonetic translation of a very rare Chinese family name 羊, which is the Chinese character for Goat or Sheep. ... "

Comes the most interesting one. ...
No bluff.

Shun (traditional Chinese: 舜) was a 23rd-22nd century BC leader of ancient China, among the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, whose half-century of rule was one of the longest in Chinese history. According to Mencius, Shun is a Dongyi.

I must say its really a good movie with a good plot...

Don't believe me?

"... Based on 178 reviews collected by Rotten Tomatoes, State Of Play currently has an 85% approval rating from critics, with an average score of 6.9/10.[87] Philip Kemp from Total Film called it "a twisty substantial thriller" and said "It’s not as exceptional as its source but the changes implemented mostly enhance rather than harm the story."[88] As of May 6, 2009 the film has grossed a total of $40,667,121. As of June 10, 2009 the gross renevue has reached $45,267,848 in the United States and United Kingdom. ... "

Many people prefer to stand rather than having a seat in the train, every morning and evening. Why?
During the peak hour, you might end up on STOMP if you sit and doze off.

I realised the high frequencies of courtesy among the people here. Even foreigners are aware of it. I take the train to work every day and when i see someone leaving from the RESERVED SEAT area, no one will dare to take that seat for a long time. I mean, a really long time....

If you really take the seat, someone might just whip out their camera phone. And the next thing you know, you are infamous.

The irritated Phua Chu Kang's courtesy song does have some hidden agenda to what was implied. " IF YOU SIT, LOOK AROUND..."

i think he means, look around for camera ya?

Jener and i broke up last week, but get together again 12 hours later. Only to realise that we can't survive without each other. When you realised that its 3 years we been together, and once she's out, this one big portion of my life just gone.
We are currently working on to start again.

My office, like some others, have radio constantly keeping us awake ( But i still doze off ) during our work time. Class 95FM is still DBTA's favourite station.

Its funny how DJs trying to keep us aroused with trivia from other countries. And yesterday, i listen to this.

Jean Danker was reporting about the ranking of the world's safest cities and i was really not paying attention to that.
She mentioned that VANCOUVER IS THE WORLD'S SAFEST CITY. Ranked number 1.

And my canadian intern sitting in front of me starts to be skeptical about the new found theory. He's not a big fan of Singapore radio and still thinks Singapore radio is trying too hard to entertain people!

He commented, " No! " with a strong canadian accents.

" Vancouver actually has one of the most notorious gang in the world."

" Really?.." i think to myself. Now i know why it means LOW CRIME DOES NOT MEAN NO CRIME.

Then we listened on and what's next really keep us laughing.

" SINGAPORE IS RANKED 54TH ON THE LIST AND HONGKONG IS ABOVE OUR RANKING. "

Now both me and Thomas, the canadian intern, stared hard at each other with total disbelief. "Hongkong's gangs is so much fearsome than the little ah bengs in coffeeshops and second hand handphone stores... "

" Do you know why i come to Singapore and do my internship? " Thomas indicated. " BECAUSE I THOUGHT SINGAPORE IS REALLY THE MOST SAFE CITY IN THE WHOLE WORLD. "

" Well, welcome to Singapore, my friend" i thought to myself. " A place where crap radio existed and blow you away with tasteless jokes. "

Drama, drama...

My results are out last friday. First grade that i looked out for is my Design module. And i am utterly disappointed by the grade i got. Is that all?

After i chiong design for the whole sememster? Then i look at others and realise that although its somehow the same, but then i still feel that i could have do better. Could it be my stubborn nature?
Then i look at others' grade again.
And they don't deserve what they get.

Am i prejudiced or what? Jealous? I AM NOT.
I am just feeling that its so unfair.

The night at the museum 2
I guess i am the only one who laughed the loudest that night. Not many can appreciate Ben Stiller's jokes. I guess that night was a laughter relief for myself.

Terminator Salvation.
The movie was ok la...
Why?
Its just action packed.
You will be walking out of the theatre, wondering how come John Connor's father si bei ( very ) young leh?
