Try to enjoy my first day of holiday now... I had been so stressed these past months and finally i coud take a breather.

This week i encountered something very very irritating that sometimes i felt it will be very inappropiate to share in my blog. Hey, this is my space, my dwelling place and my sanctuary.

I was having lunch with han cheng and andrew at sunshine plaza on monday. Introducing the famous fried wanton noodle to han cheng, who is a malaysian, i thought i will be a bit nice to play a small tour guide to him. We ordered three plates of the noodles and a 2 dollar wanton, and two hot drinks. That accumlated to a total of more than 18 bucks!!!

To me, that does not make any sense! Andrew, having experiences in coffeeshops for years, knew instantly that something is very wrong. We asked for a re-calculation again from the boss. The lady who served us earlier came by.

She is a Chinese national...

We found out that the total is actually 17 dollars and andrew informed that we gave her 19 bucks. But she said we paid only 18 bucks. She quickly cooked up the story. And andrew shouted at her ... in public...

I felt irritated... and cheated by the chinese national.

I thought mine was the worst. My mum was pushed by a chinese in a supermarket and she did not apologise. Instead, she scolded my mum, saying, " You DID NOT FALL WAT!!"

Just yesterday, was having lunch with Li Yi and Tian soon. We were eyeing at this specific table. And when Li Yi was about to occupy the table, this lady just shoved in. Li Yi told me about that and when i turned back to see who that lady is, she is a chinese national.

Can u guys get the link here?

Despite the on-going period of exam, my group still went on, putting up the term 1 project at sculpture square. The process of moving the structure, which was in a really bad condition, from the school to the space provided. Including the endless toleration of lizards and cockroaches lurking around the model. The process of moving Victor's tower structure was one of the most effort paid. The success of putting up the structure was really huge. 6 from my group managed to restore back to it's perfection as much as possible. It turns out pleasant. Thanks studio X.

Exam going to end soon. Not looking back at what i have scribbled on my answer booklets. Not going to feel agonized by the PF paper yesterday. Cause basically i am going to be damn depressed , come to think of it.

hOLIDAYS going to start. In fact, it started.

Crit session for studio X finally come to a conclusion.

I am at once relieved by the comments that Paul, Tsuto and Ju Meng gave. Rather constructive.

Tsuto: Is your bridge a bit "light"? What is the experience on the bridge?

Paul: What material?
I think the bridge is very symbolic! Perhaps you need not have the two ending portion but just a bridge. You need not anything but in the end, it can be as simple as a stroke!

Ju Meng: what is your reaction to your model?

Moral of the crit:
THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT!

Going to mug for exam now... my next target

The cathedral that is the main venue and i felt that the piece of architecture enhances the song and the peacefulness of the environment. I remembered how renault car company using Pierre Koenig's Case study House as a backdrop for his advertsiement

I am rather captivated, not by its erotic aspects, but by the portrayal of each character. In Lust Caution, Tony Leung is the traditor who worked with the Japanese Kempeitai, While Tang Wei was a freshmen in her university who kinda followed the wrong crowd and Wang Lee Hom is the leader of the "wrong crowd" and his childish and boyish attitude ruined his role in his show.

The storyline was really good. But of course, the full version provides a certain perspective for the viewers and seing how Lee Ang's camera captures the brilliant expression of Tony's and Tang wei's. Both of them were so good that i just have to say that , " Lee Hom, please concentrate in your music... "

Exam coming!!!

Structural System is my killer!

Think i should put this into my ideas essay...
Pretty surprising that FRANK GEHRY IS CRITICISED!
AGAIN!

Read on...

BOSTON - The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is suing renowned architect Frank Gehry, alleging serious design flaws in the Stata Center, a building celebrated for its unconventional walls and radical angles.

The school asserts that the center, completed in spring 2004, has persistent leaks, drainage problems and mold growing on its brick exterior. It says accumulations of snow and ice have fallen dangerously from window boxes and other areas of its roofs, blocking emergency exits and causing damage.

The suit says MIT paid Los Angeles-based Gehry Partners $15 million to design the Stata Center, which cost $300 million to build. It houses labs, offices, classrooms and meeting rooms.

"Gehry breached its duties by providing deficient design services and drawings," according to the suit, which also names New Jersey-based Beacon Skanska Construction Co., now known as Skanska USA Building Inc. The suit, filed Oct. 31, seeks unspecified damages.

Gehry Partners did not immediately respond to a call from The Associated Press seeking comment Tuesday, and did not respond to calls and e-mails Monday from The Boston Globe. A spokesman for MIT declined to comment because of the pending lawsuit.

An executive at Skanska's Boston office said Gehry ignored warnings from Skanska and a consulting company before construction that there were flaws in the design. "This is not a construction issue, never has been," said Paul Hewins, executive vice president and area general manager of Skanska USA.

Gehry's work includes the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

I am making it so obvious that i did catch the show, starring Dwayne "THE ROCK" Johnson. I would say its another movie that turn strong guys into soft feel. So far, there are attempts on Arnold, Vin Diesel, and this time, on a former WWE wrestler, weighing more than 200 pounds and standing 1.9m tall.

Dwayne Johnson is a prominent NFL quarterback who has everything that a bachelor wants. Girls, penthouse, a bulldog, fast cars. When his daughter came up onto his doorstep, his life changed drastically and slowly landing up a parenthood life. Trying to put up with his new life. Trying to sleep on his 40,000 dollars leather sofa. Trying to do ballerina. Trying to be like a father.

But of course, laughters are climax- dependent and always tears will flow in the midst of the show. It reminded me so much of fatherly love and how a father is doing all out to his daughter, when he realised that she has already form part of his life. Reminded me so much like my father, who i lost him three months back. The scene allowed me to understand how important a father's love could be. And the way he support his daughter.

I watched GridIron Gang previously and i felt The rock is cooking well in the movie industry. BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER!

You know which part of the show that justify your ticket money?...

This part describing Dwayne's character trying to tell Peyton's dance teacher who he is. She remain doubtful and Joe Kingmen saying, " Gosh, you don't know who i am, you must be living under the Rock..."

Get it?
